The CX43 upright biological microscope is designed for routine laboratory observation. It is built on the UIS2 optical system and is designed for comfortable daily use, with LED illumination, an ergonomic layout and a stable mechanical stage. CX43 Configuration Overview
The CX43 uses a UIS2 optical system and a 2.4 W LED illumination system with a rated lifetime of 60,000 hours. Its fixed five-position inward-facing nosepiece supports routine observation and provides room for workflow-specific choices.
CX43 configurations can be supplied with binocular, trinocular or inclined binocular observation tubes. A trinocular configuration can be selected when camera documentation is required. The standard mechanical stage has an X-Y travel range of 76 mm × 52 mm and supports a range of slide holders and specimen holders.

The CX43 can be configured for brightfield, phase contrast, darkfield and fluorescence observation. The final choice of objectives, condenser, illumination and accessories should be confirmed for the intended workflow.
Brightfield Observation
Brightfield configurations are suitable for routine specimen observation. Compatible UIS2 plan achromat objectives cover magnifications from 2x to 100x, depending on the selected optical configuration.
Phase Contrast Observation
Phase contrast components can be selected for observing low-contrast specimens. The final selection of phase objectives, condenser and related accessories should be confirmed for the intended workflow.
Darkfield Observation
Darkfield configurations are available for dry observation from 10x to 40x or oil observation from 10x to 100x when the corresponding objectives and accessories are selected.
Fluorescence Observation
The CX43 can be configured for fluorescence observation with compatible fluorescence components. Filter selection and the final illumination configuration should be specified according to the fluorophore and imaging workflow.
Daily-Use Features
The CX43 is designed to support efficient routine work. Its low-position controls help keep focusing and stage movement within easy reach. A rackless stage reduces the need for excessive hand movement, while the fixed nosepiece supports stable objective changes during observation.
The light intensity manager function can help retain the preferred illumination level when the objective magnification is changed. The CX43 also supports optional accessories for specimen holding, camera documentation and fluorescence workflows.
