LIM light intensity management function to reduce frequent dimming ECLIPSE Si is equipped with LIM (Light Intensity Management) function.
After the user sets the appropriate brightness under different objectives, the system can automatically memorize the illumination intensity corresponding to that objective lens; when switching to that objective lens again, the microscope will automatically restore the corresponding brightness.
This function can reduce the steps of repeatedly adjusting the light intensity when switching between low-magnification and high-magnification objective lenses, and can also reduce the discomfort caused by sudden darkening or over-brightness of the field of view.
According to Nikon’s official description, LIM can reduce the time spent manually adjusting light intensity when switching objective lenses, and is suitable for teaching experiments, clinical routine observation, and long-term sample screening. 2.
CFI60 optical system and wide-field observation ECLIPSE Si adopts Nikon CFI60 infinity-corrected optical system, which can be used with CFI E Plan Achromat and other series of objective lenses for routine bright-field observation, cell sample observation, tissue section observation and teaching specimen observation.
Depending on the eyepiece and tube configuration, the ECLIPSE Si supports an FN 20 or FN 22 field of view.

Ergonomic design for long-term observation ECLIPSE Si adopts an ergonomic design that meets the needs of long-term observation.
The standard lens tube tilt angle is 45°, and the eye point height can be adjusted in two levels, making it easier for users of different heights and sitting postures to obtain a more natural observation posture.
Depending on the configuration, an ergonomic tube is also available to further improve neck and shoulder comfort during long examinations.
The microscope adopts a low stage design with a stage travel of X 76 mm and Y 52 mm, which is suitable for routine slide observation and continuous sample operation.
The focusing knobs are located on both sides of the fuselage.
